IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria

1. Age (as on 1st September 2017)

  • Minimum Age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 28 years.

A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.09.1989 and not later than 01.09.1997 (both dates are inclusive)

2. Educational Qualifications

  • A degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by Govt. of India, or any equivalent qualification.
  • The candidate should have valid marks sheet.
  • Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer Systems are mandatory. You should have a Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in Computer Operations/ Language or should have studied Computer/ Information Technology as one of the subjects in High School/ College/ Institute.
  • Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/ UT is preferable. You should be able to read, write and speak it.

Note: All results must be declared on or before 3rd October 2017.

3. Nationality/ Citizenship

You must be either –

(a) a Citizen of India or
(b) a Subject of Nepal or Bhutan or
(c) a Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
(d) a Person of Indian Origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
