Notification for RRB ALP Recruitment 2024 has been issued for 5696 Assistant Loco Pilot Posts. The RRB ALP Notification 2024 PDF is now available for download. Interested candidates may begin submitting their applications online starting from January 20th, 2024.
RRB ALP Recruitment 2024: Important Dates
The RRB has notified the online application dates for the RRB ALP Recruitment 2024. The online registration portal is open between 20th January to 19th February 2024. Currently, the Board has only announced the Application dates and the exam date will be released soon.

RRB ALP Age Limit 2024 (As On 1/7/2024)
The minimum age limit for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot is 18 to 30 years as of 1/7/2024. However, candidates belonging to different categories have been provided age relaxation accordingly as given below.

RRB ALP 2024 Educational Qualification
Check the educational qualification required for the post fo RRB ALP 2024:
- Matriculation / SSLC, ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Armature and Coil Winder / Electrician / Electronics Mechanic / Fitter / Heat Engine / Instrument Mechanic / Machinist / Mechanic Diesel / Mechanic Motor Vehicle / Millwright Maintenance Mechanic / Mechanic Radio & TV / Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic / Tractor Mechanic / Turner / Wireman, OR,
- Matriculation / SSLC, Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above, OR,
- 3 years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering, OR,
- Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognised Institution in lieu of ITI.
- Candidates with Degrees in the Engineering disciplines mentioned above can also apply.
RRB ALP 2024 Selection Process
Those who are applying for the RRB ALP Post must know the selection process through which they are required to go through. The RRB ALP Selection Process consists of 4 stages as shown below and all the exams will be conducted in a computer-based manner.
- Stage I CBT
- Stage II CBT
- Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
- Documents Verification
- Medical Examination.
